Recipe for Stuffed Artichokes
Ingredients
For EACH artichoke:
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese
- 1 strip raw bacon
- 2 pods garlic
- dash of salt
- large artichoke
Instructions
Trim stem and about 1/2" from the artichoke top. Trim the sharp points from each leaf.
Mix stuffing and push down in each leaf of artichoke. Put a pat of butter on top.
Place artichokes in a heavy pan with 1/2" water. Cover tightly and bring to a very light boil.
Watch water level very carefully and should be cooked in 1 hour.
