Recipe for New Orleans Shrimp Toss

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 2 TB vegetable oil
  • 2 TB lemon juice
  • 1 TB Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 can Campbells cream of chicken with herbs soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • cornbread or biscuits (I used cornbread!)
  • 2 TB fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Make cornbread or biscuits!

  2. Mix shrimp, 1 TB oil, lemon juice, Worchestershire, and Cajun seasoning.

  3. Heat remaining oil in skillet. Add onion and garlic and cook until tender.

  4. Add soup, milk, and paprika. Heat to a boil. Add shrimp mixture, cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes or until shrimp is done. Serve on cornbread or biscuits. Garnish with chives.
