Recipe for Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. lemon cake mix (with pudding)
  • 1 pkg. instant lemon pudding
  • 1 cup hot water
  • ½ cup oil
  • ¼ cup poppy seeds
  • 4 eggs
  • Citrus Glaze

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°.

Mix together all ingredients and beat for 4 minutes. Divide batter into 2 large or 4 small bread pans. Bake 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Citrus Glaze

  • 1 ¼ cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. orange juice
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Mix ingredients together. When bread comes out of oven, poke holes in top with toothpick and spoon over glaze.
