Recipe for Cream Puff Dessert
Ingredients
Crust
- 1 Cup flour
- 1 Cup water
- 1/2 Cup butter
- 4 Eggs
Filling
- 1 8oz pk. Cream Cheese
- 3 1/2 Cups of cold (no skim) milk
- 2-3oz pks. chocolate fudge pudding
Topping
- 1 lg. tub of the "extra creamy" Cool Whip.
- 1/3 Cup chopped almonds (or your favorite nut)
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 400°.
In a medium sauce pan over medium heat bring water and butter to a boil. Add the flour all at once. Stir untill a smooth ball forms-let stand 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Beat untill smooth. spread into a greased 13"x9"x2" pan & bake for 30-35 minutes. Or untill puffed & golden brown.
To make filling Whip cream cheese untill fluffy then slowly add in the milk. Once blended, add the packages of pudding and beat untill smooth. When pastry has cooled, spread filling into it. Then top with cool whip & nuts.
