Recipe for Turkey Meatballs in Wine Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2TB milk
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- salt, pepper
- 1# ground turkey (can use ground beef)
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup water
- 2TB cornstarch
- 1 tsp chicken boullion
- 1/3 cup dry white wine
- 2 TB snipped parsley
- Hot noodles
Instructions
Spray 13 X 9 baking pan with cooking spray. In medium bowl stir together egg white, bread crumbs, half the onion, milk, thyme, salt and pepper. Add turkey; mix well. Shape mixture into 1" meatballs. Place meatballs in prepared pan.
Bake uncovered in 350 oven for 30 - 35 minutes.
Cook mushrooms anmd remaining onion and cook until onion is tender. In a bowl, stir together cold water, cornstarch and boullion. Stir mixture into mushroom mixture. Cook and stir until bubbly and thickened. Stir in meatballs and wine; heat thru. Stir in parsley and pour over noodles.
